Your input

It's feedback time... Here's what the pond area looks like now. (Center fountain not shown, it's winter!)
Here's the guidlines:
$1,000 budget to finish the project.
New liner.
Pond needs to be rounder (less of a square) and 5 inches wider to handle the center fountain.
Waterfall facing the house.
Current waterfalls removal or reconfig)
Firepit.
Sitting area.
Room for plants and koi.
(space is not an issue)
So you be the designer, email your ideas to tmcsprojects@gmail.com

Oh yeah one more thing, volunteers would be nice.

The Waterfall Saga Continues...

The waterfall will be 2 sided to view from both house and backyard, new 2nd pond and a river is being added. Oh a fire pit too. Not my idea, but mom's. So I'm digging a new hole and taking out a couple of the waterfall bricks. Pictures will be coming soon.

Change of plans...

Had a brainstorm, not using cement blocks and then have to cover them. Now I'm using retaining wall bricks and multi colors which will finish the area.

A wet Friday.

Wanted to do a lot of work today, but the ground is so muddy it's hard just to walk out there. :( Might work on it later.

June 17, 2011 Pics

Yesterday, I decided to start from scratch with "Mount Rushmore", so I dug it out and now the waterfall mountain is a large upper pond which is the same width of the orginal pond, but half the length, it also be the same depth as the orginal. As seen in the picture it still needs 1 more row of block and the front of the upper pond still needs constructed.  There will be some small fish in the upper pond, however if they seem to flow to the lower pond they will be removed. The inside will be lined with the old pond liner, and the outside of the upper pond will be covered with rocks and plants.

Deck (dock) design

Well... because of the piles of dirt had to come up with something to do with it, so I'll take most of the dirt and create a 1 step simple deck (boat dock). This also solves the webcam problem, because of the new large pond the webcam is too close and doesn't fill the entire picture so it will be moved to the corner of the deck 10 ft away from the pond.
