Pond Netted for 2021

This year I got the pond netted before the leaves take swimming as a hobby.

Sunday, February 28, 2021: Lake Trent has been uncovered for the season.

 Lake Trent has been uncovered for the season. Lots of work to do. Leaving the heater in for a couple more weeks. It doesn't turn on unless the water temperature is 30 degrees or less. Fish seems to have survive the winter.

Pond closed for 2020

 The pond has been closed for the 2020 season.

Life support pumps are still running, the waterfall has been turned off, the pond has been netted and the heater has been installed for the winter.

It was a horrible year for algae, no matter what I used, I could not control it. Have not seen the fish since July. Everything was fine until one morning I came out to feed the fish and the water was thick green.

Tonight I:
1) Took the net off.
2) Hooked up the pumps and computers, and turn them on.
3) Poured in good bacteria and enzymes and springtime slug eater.
4) Feed the fish for the first time since September.

UPDATE (Sunday, March 15, 2020: It snowed lastnight.

There are 53 sensors, valves and the pumps that the pond server had to connect, read, calibrate and adjust before the water would flow. The server displays the current status on the video board every 30 minutes. It will also displays any problems immediately and texts me.
